I am a Professor in the Department of Anthropology at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
I’m originally from Portaferry, Northern Ireland. I completed my PhD in Anthropology in 2009 from University College London, before doing postdoctoral fellowships at both UCL and the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. I swapped the city for the beach in 2016.
If you’d like my CV, it’s here.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my son dog, Pietro, and trying to avoid being a boring academic.
